Gatherings & Retreats

Come Gather.

Meaningful experiences rooted in nature, creativity, beauty, and community.

Some of the most meaningful moments in life happen around a table.

Someone pours the tea. Someone tears the bread. Someone begins telling a story. Before long, strangers become neighbors.

Ideas begin to bloom. Hands begin to create. Laughter fills the room.

Whether we’re baking bread, painting with watercolor, writing letters, gathering flowers, or simply sharing a meal, every gathering is an invitation to slow down, make something with our hands, and reconnect—with ourselves, one another, and the season we’re in.

You don’t need to be artistic. You don’t need to know anyone. You only need a little curiosity.

There’s a place for you here.

What Happens Here

Every gathering is a little different, but they all begin with the same invitation: Come as you are.

Some afternoons we’ll gather around watercolor and collage. Some evenings we’ll share warm bread and tea.

We’ll wander through gardens. Collect flowers. Write letters. Create simple seasonal projects. Sit beneath the trees. Share stories. Laugh often. Leave room for quiet.

The activities matter. But they aren’t the reason we’re gathering.

The real invitation is to remember what it feels like to create without pressure, notice without rushing, and connect without performing.

Gatherings Through the Seasons

Bread & Bloom Gatherings

Fresh bread, seasonal flowers, tea, conversation, and simple creative invitations inspired by the garden.

Creative Afternoons

Watercolor, collage, nature journals, playful art-making, and creative exploration for anyone who simply wants to make something with their hands.

No experience required.

Seasonal Workshops

Gatherings inspired by what each season naturally offers—harvest tables, handmade gifts, winter creativity, spring planting, summer flowers, and autumn abundance.

Retreats

Longer opportunities to slow down, create, rest, and reconnect through nature, community, and meaningful conversation.

What We’re Remembering Together…

  • We are makers.

  • We are wonderers.

  • We are gatherers.

  • Creativity belongs to everyone.

  • Curiosity matters more than perfection.

  • Wonder grows when we make space for it.

  • Beauty is something we practice noticing.

  • Gathering changes us.

  • There is always room for one more.

What You’ll Find Around the Table

Not perfect paintings. Not polished performances. Not pressure to “be creative.”

Instead…

Hands covered in paint. Warm bread shared between friends. Flowers gathered from the garden. Conversations that continue long after the project is finished. People trying something new simply because they’re curious.

Moments of quiet. Moments of laughter.

And the gentle reminder that creativity doesn’t belong to a few gifted people. It belongs to all of us.

Imagine…

Imagine arriving without needing to impress anyone.

Imagine making something simply because it brings you joy.

Imagine leaving with paint on your sleeves, a loaf of bread in your hands, a flower tucked behind your ear, and a new friend to wave to the next time you stop by.

Imagine discovering that what you’ve been longing for wasn’t another class.

It was simply a place to belong.

Join the Gathering

Whether you begin by receiving a letter, picking up a loaf of bread, listening to the podcast, or attending your first gathering…

I hope you’ll discover that The Evergreen Table isn’t just a place to learn something new.

It’s a place to remember something true.

That you are a maker. A wonderer. A gatherer. And that there has always been a place for you at the table.

Kind Words

The most meaningful part of this work has always been the people around the table.

Here are a few reflections from those I’ve had the joy of gathering with over the years.

Brenda

"If you need a life reboot or a path to find your light, I highly recommend attending one of Shannon's nature retreats. I went on her May retreat and I literally feel reborn. I'm lighter, happier, and refueled. I attribute the shift to the creative exercises and outings we did together. I'm so glad I accepted her invitation to this life-changing experience."

Sarah

"My retreats with Shannon as the facilitator have been a blend of self exploration through art, yoga, group meetings, deep meditations and ample time allotted for solitude and reflection in a natural, peaceful setting removed from daily routines, busyness and expectations. These periods of time have allowed deep spiritual and personal growth which have rippled through my life long after leaving retreats. There are no words to truly express how grateful I am to be a part of this growing circle of women."

Gwen

"The best part of the retreat for me was meeting other women who were doing their own soul-searching, and giving themselves time and space to turn inward and search. The loveliest surprises were the group sharing sessions where I found I was not so alone in my life journey, and getting to know some really incredible women who inspired me to live my life more consciously, and who reminded me to feed my creative self more often. Thank you for gathering women on your retreats. We really can help one another enjoy our life journey more fully."

Dayna

"Shannon's retreat was amazing and I'm taking away lessons that I will use every day in my life. The silent time meditating calmed my spirit and my soul. The friendships I made will never be forgotten. The activities with the group were inspiring.  also had time to read, journal, and get to know myself better. I am so happy that I made the decision to go. I will definitely do this again and tell others about it."

Brandi

"I am still floating on the joy from last weekend’s retreat. Thanks, Shannon, for bringing us all together and for each of you for co-creating such a beautiful, soul-rejuvenating weekend. Until we meet again... I am holding a special space for each of you in my heart."

Carol

"I believe kismet led me to Shannon’s Retreat and I thank destiny for leading me exactly where I needed to be. I stumbled upon Shannon’s website/retreat information while browsing the internet for ‘wellness retreats’.  I reviewed the information and just felt in my ‘spirit’ that this was something I needed to do for myself. I am so happy I followed my heart’s lead, despite being a little apprehensive as a drove up to the retreat house. All of those anxious feelings dissolved when I met Shannon for the first time - it felt like I was greeting an old friend. She is the most loving, compassionate, genuine  and fun woman. The rest of the retreat weekend followed the same feeling of an open embrace - from the other women attendees, to the ladies who helped in the kitchen, to the gentleman who tended the grounds - all were filled with love, kindness and a healing energy. I left feeling safe, loved, and quiet in my heart and head. If I could give all of my girlfriends a beautiful gift it would be this retreat! Thank you again Shannon for your gift of empathy and knowledge. I hope our paths will cross again. I will always hold you close in my heart."

Kim

"My retreat with Shannon was love and acceptance. It just was. The space and people wrapped me up in this big hug and entered into my heart: what I was feeling, what I had been carrying, and whatever I arrived at the doorstep to discover. They supported me the whole weekend long with lots of laughter, hugs, and delicious silence and nourishment, for both my soul and body. It was the perfect space to unwind and unwrap. Where else can we find that kind of connection (or the power of that many intuitive, loving women!) in our ordinary, busy lives?"
